Help Make Us Faster and Stronger

The team does a variety of fundraisers and pays dues every season to fund the majority of the overall budget. We rely on the Friends, parents and other donors to provide equipment and travel opportunities that keep us competitive with the other top club teams in the country. Recent donations have provided a new eight and buses to races. For the 2025-26 season, we are raising money to purchase a new four and travel to race in Washington, DC.

The Friends of Minnesota Crew also provide nutrition for the team when they travel to races. Feeding 60 hungry men and women on the road is not easy, but the parents do an outstanding job of providing warm food at cold regattas and snacks for the long travel home. Rent-A-Rower

Minnesota Crew uses fundraising events such as "Rent a Rowers" to support the sport of rowing and its athletes at the University of Minnesota. Moving, gardening/weeding, landscaping, mowing, raking, and shoveling are the most common requests we receive. Our services are offered in exchange for a tax-deductible donation of $20/hour/rower.
