GOPHER ROWERS BEAT THE HEAT AT NATIONALS

Cincinnati, OH-

The USRowing Club National Championships host the rowing equivalents of Real Madrid and Barcelona FC in the United States, an array of US National Team Caliber rowing. The Minnesota Men's Development Camp arrived last Tuesday, ready for a week of #2kEveryday and race paces higher than the temperatures. More than 2100 athletes and 1745 boats from 115 rowing clubs fought for medals. 

The Gophers represented Minnesota in heavyweight and lightweight events, namely: singles, pairs, doubles, and fours. The athletes entered in intermediate and senior events, earning spots in the Grand Final for the Senior 4+ and all three Senior pairs. The lightweight 4+ had a strong finish in the Grand Final of the Senior event, and one of the two lightweight pairs earned silver in the Intermediate Grand Final on Sunday. The lightweight single moved on from over 40 entries to a spot in the Semifinals.
